The Beverley Hills Primary School Council consists of thirteen members – the Principal, eight elected parent representatives and four elected employees of the Department of Education (i.e. Staff members). The School Council has the ability to co-opt a further two community members each year.
The election of School Council members is held in late February/early March each year. Members are elected for a period of two years with half the positions falling vacant each year. School Council generally meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the staffroom at 8.00pm.
The School Council represents the school community and makes certain decisions on its behalf. The Council has a number of sub-committees to oversee specific areas of the school’s operation.
