The Humanities subjects taught at Beverley Hills Primary School (BHPS) assist students to explore and understand the processes that have helped shape Australia and other societies and cultures. Students learn to appreciate and evaluate how humans affect the local and global environment in different ways and how humanities face and overcome challenges.
Civics and Citizenship
Civics and Citizenship empower students to become active and informed citizens who participate in Australia’s democracy.
Geography integrates the natural sciences, social sciences and humanities to build a holistic understanding of the world.
Historical knowledge is fundamental to understanding ourselves and others. It promotes the understanding of societies, events, movements and developments that have shaped humanity from earliest times.
Economics and Business enables students to understand the process of economic and business decision-making at the personal, local, national and global levels and the effects of these decisions on themselves and others, now and in the future.
